We would like to invite you to the panel discussion: “Generative AI in publishing: why we need a publisher’s right”.

Frankfurter Buchmesse
Forum Education (Hall 3.1, Stand D12)
19 October 2023
13:15 – 14:15 h CEST

Why is a publisher’s right an important safeguard for the future, especially when dealing with generative AI? And what other challenges are associated with the use of generative AI for publishers and the creative industry? These include, among other things, increased transparency for AI providers and the involvement of rights holders in the use of their content for AI training. What is the current state of the discussion and what are the prospects at European (keyword AI Act) and international level?

Peter Haag, Publisher, Kein & Aber Verlag
Katharina Uppenbrink, Executive Director of the Copyright Initiative

Moderation: Renate Reichstein, Publishing Consultant, Bild & Wort Agentur

We look forward to seeing you!
